Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Kalua Guard ("we", "our", "the Service") provides parental monitoring tools for legal guardians. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights under applicable law including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).

2. Data We Collect

Account data: name, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash), subscription plan, and payment references.
Child device data (plan-dependent): app usage, foreground app name, location/GPS trails, screenshots, live screen/camera frames, notifications, typing/keyword alerts, call/SMS metadata, device lock status, and command acknowledgements.
Technical data: device tokens, pairing codes, IP addresses, timestamps, crash/diagnostic logs, and session identifiers.

3. How We Use Data

Data is processed solely to deliver parental monitoring features you enable, to secure accounts, to process subscriptions, and to comply with law. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Legal Basis & Consent

You must be the legal guardian of the minor whose device is monitored. Child setup requires explicit permission steps on the device. Monitoring adults without their knowledge or consent is prohibited and may result in immediate account termination.

5. Data Retention

Retention depends on your active plan (typically 7–90 days). Older monitoring data is automatically purged by scheduled cleanup jobs. Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

6. Sharing & Processors

Hosting: InfinityFree / Hostinger (server infrastructure)
Payments: PayU (payment processing — we do not store full card numbers)
Notifications: WhatsApp Business API (optional alerts you configure)

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed. API access requires authentication tokens. Media files are served through authenticated endpoints where applicable. No system is 100% secure — use strong passwords and keep pairing codes private.

8. Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)

Right to access a copy of your data

Right to erasure (account deletion)
Right to withdraw consent and nominate a contact person
Right to grievance redressal via our support channel

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for guardians monitoring devices of minors under their care. We do not knowingly collect data from children for marketing purposes.

10. International Transfers

Data may be processed on servers located outside your country. We apply reasonable safeguards consistent with this policy.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
